Each
year, in February, YFU South Africa organizes an "exchange
project within an exchange year" for our inbound students.
This project serves to introduce our inbound students to a cultural
environment that is quite unique and very interesting, since it
represents a semi-rural way of life in the northern part of South
Africa. Seshego is a town outside Polokwane in the Limpopo Province.
In the 2 weeks, our students live with hostfamilies and attend
the local high school. They also participate and several other
activities, including a visit to the local primary school. This
year, the local Government of Limpopo was so impressed with the
project, that they invited our students to a local hotel where
they were treated with a meal and a safari drive.
The
project also caught the eye of the media! Have a look at this
newspaper article.....
