YFU South Africa was founded in 1995 and is part of a large, international family of mainly volunteer-driven YFU national organizations in more than 45 countries. YFU South Africa is a registered non-profit organization and does not discriminate on the basis of race, language, national origin, religion or gender.
Through our youth exchange programmes, learners aged 15-18 live with host families in other countries, immerse themselves in the family and community's culture, attend the local high school and in so-doing build friendships that bring countries and cultures together.
